WACO – Chip and Joanna Gaines and AJ Capital Partners are transforming the Grand Karem Shrine building at 701 Washington Ave. into a 40-room hotel.
The three-story, 53,000-sf property was built in 1928.
The hotel will feature a rooftop terrace, ballroom, and street-level café.
Construction will be complete by 2021.
