DALLAS-FORT WORTH – Third quarter 2019 marks the 36th consecutive quarter of positive absorption for the DFW industrial market.

According to CBRE, industrial occupiers took down nearly 15.9 million sf in the first three quarters of the year. Last quarter, over 7.2 million sf was absorbed.

Over 27.5 million sf of industrial space is under construction, and 28.7 percent of that space is precommitted. New starts totaled 9.3 million sf.

Delivered product totaled 5.2 million sf and was 68.6 percent precommitted.

Due to a large amount of previously vacant space being occupied, the market vacancy rate came down 41 basis points to 5.6 percent.
