HOUSTON – The city council has approved a 30-year lease agreement with FlightSafety International Inc. to build to a 90,000-sf aeronautical training center on six acres at the Houston Spaceport.
The $16 million center will offer ten to 12 flight simulators. There will be a 200-vehicle parking lot on site.
FlightSafety will relocate from its current space near William Hobby Airport to Ellington Airport, which is the site of the spaceport.
The project will be a part of the Houston Spaceport's first phase, which is already underway.
