$33M road reconstruction underway near Dallas

​​​​​KAUFMAN – A subsidiary of Sterling Construction Co. has been awarded a contract by the Texas Department of Transportation to reconstruct an eight-​mile stretch of SH​ 34 in Kaufman County.

The $33 million contract includes replacing an existing two-lane roadway as well as demolishing and replacing five bridges.

The project will start in July and finish in second quarter ​​2022.​
