Rendering of Union Hall.WACO – The 18,000-sf Union Hall food court is getting closer to opening as more and more tenants commit.

The venue at Eighth St. and Franklin Ave. will have a 300-seat common area, mezzanine, indoor and outdoor patios, and about 20 food stalls when it opens this summer.

Three anchor spaces have been designated: a 1,300-sf meat market called Texas Elite Meat, a 1,400-sf restaurant space still available for lease, and a 1,100-sf full-service bar.

Available units start at 110 sf. Several tenants have combined stalls, pushing the food preparation and eating areas to 600 sf.

The facility is about 70 percent leased.

Private developers Shane Turner and Todd Behringer are behind the project.
