Harris County starts on 48K-sf AB West

​HOUSTON – The Harris County Department of Education has broken ground on the 47,970-sf Academic and Behavior School West (AB West). 

The building on 6.5 acres at 12772 Medfield Dr.​ will offer 28 classrooms, a gated outdoor walking trail, and a domestic lab for life-skills students with added retention and emergency generators to serve high-risk students.

AB West’s current site is at 7800 Westglen Dr. Its programs serve students throughout the county who have intellectual or developmental disabilities or challenging behaviors. ​​​
