HUTTO – City staff have starting moving into a new 40,000-sf city hall on Live Oak St.
The facility, which will open April 1, is nearly eight times larger than the former city hall building. It includes the new Hutto Public Library and can seat up to 200 in the city council chamber.
The old city hall will be renovated into a public safety and communications facility and training center for the Hutto Police Department.
This is the first of 20 planned buildings in the Co-Op District, the city’s first mixed-use development. Other projects are in the beginning stages of construction, including Southside Market & Barbeque, Flix Brewhouse, and Top Notch Burgers.
