​​FORT WORTH – Area home sales increased 1.2 percent year over year to 846 homes in February 2019, according to the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors.

The local median price for Fort Worth homes increased 4.3 percent over the year to $222,000.

The monthly housing inventory was 2.2 months last month, 0.6 months more than the year before. The Real Estate Center considers a six- to 6.5-month inventory a balanced market. 

​Homes spent an average of 56 days on the market, up 13 days from last year.  

Active listings increased 35.3 percent to 2,286 listings from February 2018.
