​​SAN ANTONIO – Sun Country Airlines announced it is expanding its footprint in the Alamo City.

The logo for Sun Country Airlines.The Minnesota-based carrier plans to add seasonal nonstop flights from San Antonio International Airport to Minneapolis-St. Paul starting May 24 and Portland, Ore., on June 5.​​

Sun Country becomes the 12th air carrier to serve San Antonio International. 

Over the last three years, the airport has added three new air carriers and 35 new flights. That increased air connectivity includes service to 19 new destinations.
