​​​​https://assets.recenter.tamu.edu/Images1/NewsTalk/Irving-HiddenRidge-DFW-Dec2018.pngIRVING – KDC has started work on Verizon’s $1 ​billion, 5G-enabled Hidden Ridge mixed-use project between John Carpenter Fwy. and MacArthur Blvd.

The 150-acre ​transit-oriented project will eventually include three million sf of office space, 200 hotel rooms, 1,200 residential units, and 80,000 sf of restaurant, retail, and green space, in addition to a DART station.

The development will also house th​e new headquarters of Pioneer Natural Resources​. That ten-story, one million-sf tower will break ground in 2019 and deliver in first quarter 2020.

The DART rail station is funded and scheduled to be ready when the Pioneer headquarters opens.​

Gensler is the project architect, and ​Austin Commercial is the general contractor. The design team includes Duda | Paine Architects, HKS, and Corgan Associates​.
