​​The Komatsu facility in Longview.LONGVIEW – Japan-based Komatsu is planning a 81,000-sf, $7.1 million addition to its local office with a new parts warehouse and associated offices.

Locally based Transet Co. is the contractor for the project at 2400 MacArthur St.  

Komatsu, which manufactures equipment for the mining, forestry, industrial, and construction industries, recently expanded its local operations with a $6 million, 23,000-sf power lab facility. Transet was also the contractor for that project. 

It also recently purchased Joy Global Inc.’s manufacturing plant.​
