Phase two of the museum at 5600 Fannin St. consisted of the 39,000-sf Sarah Campbell Blaffer Foundation Center for Conservation.

The two-story facility unfolds in a series of glass-and-steel boxes on top of the museum’s four-level parking garage.

Studio bays along the perimeter have clerestory windows to catch the indirect north light and ceiling heights of up to 22 ft.

The ongoing campus redevelopment is slated for completion in 2020.
