​​​​​​​​​​Rendering of Coca-Cola manufacturing plantHOUSTON – Coca-Cola Co. has broken ground on a massive manufacturing and distribution facility at Beltway 8 and I-45.

The one​​​ million-sf factory will be the first Coca-Cola plant built in the U.S. since 2006.

The $250 million plant will have five production lines pumping out cans, plastic bottles, and Dasani Water that will primarily serve the local market.

The facility is expected to​ open in 2020.​
