Double or nothing for downtown tower

​​​​AUSTIN – White Lodging Services Inc. has broken ground on an 11-story hotel at San Antonio St. and W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Half of the tower will be dedicated to White Lodging’s first boutique hotel in the city and the other half will be AC Hotel by Marriott.

White Lodging’s brand, called The Otis Hotel, will be a luxury hotel featuring 191 rooms and a rooftop pool.

The other side will house a standard 156-room AC Hotel with non-luxury pricing.

There will be a ground-level restaurant and 7,500 sf of meeting space.

Site preparations have started, and opening is set for winter 2019.
