ODESSA – The University of Texas of the Permian Basin has received $37 million from the UT System Board of Regents for a kinesiology building on campus.
The 63,717-sf building will be a hybrid for academics, kinesiology, and physical and sports training. It will be on the north end of campus, facing out toward 42nd St.
Key spaces include a biomechanics lab, exercise physiology lab, locker rooms, a weight room, and classrooms.
The project is expected to break ground late this month with completion set for May 2020.
