SHERMAN – The city is moving ahead with plans for $3 million in road construction for West Travis St. in front of the new Sherman High School that is underway on the west side of town.

In addition, the city is beginning work on improvements to the intersection of FM 1417 and O.B. Groner Rd.

The extension of Travis St. on the west side of US 75 currently goes through the Sherman Crossroads development and will ultimately be a four-lane divided roadway that will connect with O.B. Groner Rd. at its intersection with FM 1417.

The new 425,000-sf Sherman High School will deliver in summer 2020, ahead of the start of school in August of that year.
