CORPUS CHRISTI - Plans for Alamo Drafthouse Cinema are moving forward — with an anticipated December 2015 opening — but in a different location than previously discussed.
Rather than building near the Port of Corpus Christ, the restaurant and movie house will be come to the intersection of Yorktown and Staples.
Jeff Dinger, former developer of the Movies and More theater set for another location, instead will partner with BACH Holdings to develop the site as an Alamo Drafthouse.
The 32,000-sf venue will be the only dinner theater in Corpus Christi.
It will provide a combination of theater and restaurant, showing first-run and independent films and special programming events.
Construction is planned to start in spring 2015.
