SAN ANTONIO – Local developer Pat Biernacki plans to restore the 11-story former Wedgwood Senior Apartments at 6701 Blanco Rd. in Castle Hills as a 301-unit senior living facility called Ensemble.
The restored complex will feature studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments averaging 735 sf.
The complex will be equipped with sprinklers and smoke detectors on every floor, in accordance with a Texas law that was enacted in 2015 after a fire at Wedgewood.
The average rent will be $1,350 per month.
Ensemble is expected to deliver in 2019.
