Cimarron in El PasoEL PASO – Hunt Cos. and its partners are one step closer to finishing a decades-long project to develop 800 acres on the fast-growing far Westside.

The development has more than 1,200 homes and will soon have a three-acre park with play areas, trails, and a dirt trail for BMX biking.

It’s all part of a larger project called Cimarron—a master-planned community located below the western slopes of the Franklin Mountains.

When completed, Cimarron will have 2,236 homes, 200 acres of commercial and office space, 500 apartment units, 25 acres of parks, seven miles of trails, and 25 acres of preserved open space.

Within the community, a 196-unit apartment complex called Las Mansiones at Cimarron is currently under construction at the intersection of Paseo del Norte and Resler Dr. Construction is set to finish in September.
