DALLAS – The tallest building outside of downtown was acquired by Highland Capital Management in one of the largest North Texas building sales of 2018.
The 42-story Cityplace Tower on North Central Expressway is on the edge of the city’s Uptown district.
Along with the office tower, the property that Highland Capital acquired includes underground parking for additional buildings that were never constructed on the site.
Built in 1987, the 1.4 million-sf pink granite tower was planned as the centerpiece of one of the country’s largest urban redevelopment projects, which was stalled by an economic crash.
The high-rise has been owned by Florida-based investor Parmenter Realty Partners and Angelo, Gordon & Co since 2013.
