​​​​​​​TEXAS – The Census Bureau released estimates from the American Community Survey for all cities in Texas with a population of 60,000 or more with sufficient data to estimate the average travel time to work. 

According to the estimates, the average commute in Texas has risen 0.7 percent to 26.5.

This year saw several big changes, according to rankings from HomeArea.com​.

Amarillo saw the biggest percentage increase in average travel time to work at 13.2 percent, and Lubbock saw the largest percentage decrease at -10.5 percent.
