DALLAS – The Infomart at 1900 N. Stemmons Fwy. may soon be getting an addition.
Equinix, which bought the building earlier this year for $800 million, has filed building permits with the city to construct a four-story addition to the building.
The $21.25 million, 61,805-sf project would add to the already-massive 1.6 million-sf Infomart.
Developed by Trammel Crow in the 1980s as a wholesale marketplace for the tech industry, The Infomart has transitioned into a structure to house data centers in the last decade.
The filigreed, seven-story building was patterned after London’s famed 19th century Crystal Palace.
