​​BRAZORIA, GALVESTON ​​​COUNTIES​ – Chocolate Bay Conservation Holdings LLC​ has purchased over 9,590 acres northeast of the Chocolate Bay along the Intracoastal Waterway. 

The sale closed late last month for $2,280 per acre.

The land will be used for wetlands mitigation. It will eventually end up in the hands of Texas Parks & Wildlife and the Galveston Bay Foundation as a wildlife refuge.

Center-based TerraStone Land Company represented the buyer. The sellers, Rima and Farouk Alattar, were represented by the Heidi Allbritton Group at KW Commercial Realty Houston Metropolitan.
