HOUSTON – In June 2018, a record 8,581 single-family homes were sold, according toHAR’s June 2018 Home Sales report.
That represents an increase of 1.8 percent from the previous record of 8,367 in June 2017.
On a year-to-date basis, the average price rose 4.3 percent to $316,463 while the median price increased 2.6 percent to $245,000.
Total dollar volume was up 6.6 percent, reaching more than $3 billion.
Single-family homes inventory recorded a 4.1-month supply in June 2018, its highest level since August 2017 when it reached a 4.3-month supply.
