MESQUITE – Construction is set to begin mid-2019 on a $250 million, 60-acre wellness campus with the potential to bring up to 1,800 jobs to the area after the project got the go-ahead from city council.
The Verde Center at Peachtree, located along I-635 at the Gross Rd. exit, is designed as a walkable village with a series of healing gardens, trails and other amenities along a creek, plus a hotel and conference center, a fitness center, and a senior-living community.
The facility will include a hospital with a helipad, research and fitness center, medical office and retail space, and lofts.
Final planning is underway to begin the site work, mass grading, and infrastructure improvements necessary to connect Peachtree Rd. with an internal traffic circulation grid.
