​​MESQUITE – Construction is set to begin mid-2019 on a $250 million, 60-acre wellness campus with the potential to bring up to 1,800 jobs to the area after the project got the go-ahead from city council.

The Verde Center at Peachtree, located along I-635 at the Gross Rd. exit, is designed as a walkable village with a series of healing gardens, trails and other amenities along a creek, plus a hotel and conference center, a fitness center, and a senior-living community.

The facility will include a hospital with a helipad, research and fitness center, medical office and retail space, and lofts.
