HUTTO – The city council approved zoning for separate planned unit developments that would bring homes, parks, and commercial space.
The zoning changes pave the way for more than 2,000 homes to the Williamson County suburb just east of Round Rock.
The first rezoned tract is 315 undeveloped acres in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) located between CR 119 and FM 1660 N., east of SH 130.
Plans by RSI Communities–Texas LLC call for as many as 1,500 single-family townhomes and detached condos.
The second rezoned tract is 167 undeveloped acres in Hutto’s ETJ off the southeast corner of US 79 and FM 1660.
Current plans call for about 650 residential units.
