ODESSA - Air Products has begun construction on its $32 million liquid nitrogen production facility at 3300 Air Products Blvd. in the south industrial park of JBS Parkway.
The Pennsylvania-based company closed on a land purchase for the property in September from Grow Odessa, better known as the Odessa Industrial Development Corporation.
That came nearly a year after announcing the facility, which will produce about 250 tons per day targeting demand in the Permian Basin’s oilfield services markets for uses such as coiled tubing, fracturing and other applications.
A spokesman with Air Products said company officials still expected the plant to come online in 2015 as previously announced.
