Ponder: Trying out the tractors with Kubota Ranch
PONDER – Grapevine-based Kubota Tractor Corp. purchased 318 acres of land in Ponder and will convert the property into the "Kubota Ranch," the company announced.
The ranch, about 12 miles southwest of Denton, will offer space for the company to test, train and demonstrate Kubota equipment for prospective dealers deciding whether to sell Kubota products.
Kubota Ranch will retain the four small utility buildings on site and the company said it "has a vision" to build more amenities in the future.
Kubota said there are no plans to build either a manufacturing facility or a distribution center in Ponder.
Kubota currently has 500 employees in DFW, a company spokesperson said, and it was not clear if the ranch will add any jobs.
