​​​​Flex-N-Gate's Grand Prairie facility.​GRAND PRAIRIE – Flex-N-Gate, a major supplier to General Motors’ Arlington vehicle assembly plant, is spending $175 million to expand its 430,186-sf industrial building at 2150 Bardin Rd.

The company bought the facility, which houses manufacturing operations, summer 2017.

More than 50,000-sf of additions to the building will house additional offices, break rooms, lab areas, and utilities.

The biggest expense will be for new injection molding, metal stamping, and automated robotic metal welding equipment for the building.

The company will also move its Texas division corporate offices to the 20-acre Grand Prairie location, as well as relocate operations from a smaller facility in Arlington to the site starting July 2018.

Flex-N-Gate now has 62 plants worldwide and over 24,000 employees.
