Houston Methodist goes under the knife | Houston Methodist goes under the knife | https://www.recenter.tamu.edu/news/newstalk-texas/?Item=20298 | 2018-06-07T05:00:00Z | 2018-06-07T23:00:00Z | BAYTOWN – Houston Methodist is currently undergoing $64 million in renovations and expansions to its San Jacinto campus, located at 4401 Garth Rd.
On completion at the end of 2018, a new 85,000-sf building will offer imaging services, breast imaging, physical therapy, orthopedic medicine, and sports medicine services.
Additional improvements are expected to wrap up in 2019, including:
- expanding and renovating the emergency department;
- adding between 30 and 40 treatment bays in the emergency department;
- adding a new patient wing with 29 or 30 acute care beds;
- increasing the number operating rooms; and,
- expanding the labor and delivery wing, and C-section rooms.
Houston-based Tellepsen is the contractor for the entire project.
