​​​Map of Grand TexasNEW CANEY – The first theme parks at Grand Texas in Montgomery County—Big Rivers Waterpark and Gator Bayou Adventure Park—will open June 2018.

Big Rivers Waterpark, a 40-acre park inspired by Texas Rivers, will include a wave pool, lazy river, water slides, and a barbecue restaurant. 

Gator Bayou will feature an inflatable aqua park, a fishing hole, bumper boats, a petting zoo, and an alligator exhibit. 

The park houses zip line courses, an obstacle course, a five-story climbing wall, and a 70-foot free-falling activity. 

The park also offers a beer garden and a stage for entertainment. 

The 632-acre, multibillion-dollar Grand Texas has been in development since 2013. 

The first two sections, the Grand Texas RV Park and SpeedSportz Racing Park, opened in 2016. 

Construction on the Sportsplex will begin in September 2018, and the development of the Grand Texas Theme Park will begin in 2020.
