Laredo best city for Hispanic entrepreneurs
WASHINGTON – According to a WalletHub study, Laredo is the best city in the nation for Hispanic entrepreneurs. Corpus Christi is the fourth best city.
No. 2 South Burlington, Va.; No. 3 Charleston, W. Va.; and No. 5 Oklahoma City rounded out the top five.
Not only are Hispanics expected to make up over 25 percent of the U.S. population by 2050, they are creating businesses at 15 times the national rate.
According to the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Hispanic homeownership increased to 46.2 percent in 2017.
Other Texas cities in the top 25 are: No. 7 Amarillo; No. 8 San Antonio; No. 13 Grand Prairie; No. 17 Irving; No. 18 Fort Worth; No. 19 El Paso; No. 20 Austin; and No. 25 Plano.
