​​​MIDLAND – Lower inventory and the number of days on market have plummeted for affordable housing in Midland.

The Permian Basin Board of Realtors showed the sellers’ market has become more lopsided as, for the first time since 2012, more homes were sold during the month (206) than homes were available at the month’s end (184).

In March 2018, homes sold between $200,000 and $249,999 were on the market for an average of 25 days.Image of a home for sale.

Homes sold between $250,000 and $299,999 were on the market for an average of 21 days.

The average listing price for the month was $314,027 with an average selling price of $307,048.

The median listing price was $272,400 and the median selling price was $269,950.

At the end of March 2018, there was less than one-month’s supply on the market.
