AUSTIN – The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) has issued a warning of a scam requesting information from license holders.

The request is sent by email from someone posing as a TREC representive. It asks that information be provided to them and provides a link to follow (click here for sample email).

TREC asks licensees to notify TREC of suspicious emails, especially if the emails link to a third-party website. Contact TREC at [email protected] and include “SCAM Notice” in the subject line.
