The most prominent furniture chain in South Texas will hold a June 19, 2018, grand opening at its 12th Texas location, 4330 South Padre Island Dr.
The 32,500-sf building will have a staff of 25-30 people.
The closest Lacks to Corpus Christi is in Alice.
Lacks former Ashley HomeStore brings the Top 100 company into a new but neighboring market.
The stores sell furniture, appliances, electronics, mattresses, and home accessories.
Lacks can be found across South Texas from Laredo to Brownsville.
The chain was founded by Russian immigrant Sam Lack in 1935 in McAllen, where it sold home supplies and auto parts.
