​​​COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M University Board of Regents has approved a plan for an $85 million innovative academic learning facility. 

The 120,673​​2-sf facility will include 2,200 classroom seats across ten classrooms. There will also be 600 seats in collaborative study spaces​​​​ and a small cafe. It will be at the corner of Wellborn Rd. and Old Main Dr. 

The Center for Teaching Excellence, Instructional Technology Services, and Instructional Media Services will be relocated to the building. 

Construction will begin​​​ next month and wrap up ​two years later. It will be fully operational in time for the Fall 2020 semester.
