Domain 11 to Austin’s “second downtown”

​​​​​​NORTH AUSTIN – Austin’s “second downtown” just gained the tallest building in The Domain—for now.

Domain 11 is a 324,000-sf tower that is 98 percent preleased to HomeAway for its new global headquarters.

Construction on the core and shell of Domain 11 will be complete by fourth quarter 2018, with HomeAway planning to move in early 2019 and add its own interior touches.

The vacation rental company plans to expand in phases, adding 300 employees over the next few years.

Next door, the Domain 12 building will surpass Domain 11 at 17 stories upon completion.

Permitting and design on the Domain 9, 10, and 12 towers is complete, but construction will be market driven.

Together, the planned towers will add 900,000 sf of office space to The Domain.
