BELL COUNTY - Sales tax revenue is up across Texas, including Bell County, to start the new year, according to the comptroller’s office.
Comptroller Glen Hegar said tax revenue to be distributed this month now sits at $2.35 billion, up 4.3 percent from last year.
Collectively, Bell County’s cities received $3,966,352. That amount is up from last year by almost 6 percent.
The county itself collected $1,304,199 in sales tax revenue. That is up more than 5 percent from last year.
