CORPUS CHRISTI – Three Corpus Christi Independent School District schools currently under construction are on track to open in fall 2018.
Cunningham and South Park Middle Schools, each more than 50 years old, are being consolidated into one school on McArdle Rd. near Kostoryz Rd.
The new construction allows for technology and safety features, like wiring the campus for Wi-Fi and installing a secure entrance and exit.
Cunningham Middle School at South Park will be ready for 1,200 students next fall.
In addition, construction on Windsor Park Elementary, at 4525 Alameda, is ahead of schedule.
Thirdly, work on Baker Middle School is a bit behind schedule.
Baker is also scheduled to open its doors in August 2019.
