SUNNYVALE – Lineage Logistics LLC is building one of the world’s most automated food distribution facilities as an expansion of its existing distribution at 367 Long Creek Rd.
The project is increasing in size by about a third to more than 400,000 sf.
The food storage and shipping hub will use advanced automation and robotics handling systems in a temperature-controlled warehouse.
The project which is under construction will be Lineage’s first fully automated center in North America with a nine-level, 100-foot ceiling operation.
About 30 new jobs will be created at the facility, which opens in 2019.
