The City Council voted to allow a high-density residential development on about 11.6 acres near Bass Pro Dr. and N Mays St.

Four- to five-story apartment buildings would be located on a 6.8-acre parcel, which would have a minimum density of 35 units per acre.

Another 2.4-acre parcel would also be multifamily, but only include two-story apartments.

Round Rock leaders also voted to annex about 41.2 acres at the southwest corner of Creek Bend Blvd. and Hairy Man Rd. for single-family mixed lots.

Zoning provides for estate lots of at least 10,000 sf, standard lots of at least 6,500 sf and small lots of at least 5,000 sf.
