​​​​​​​​​​​​HOUSTON – The Houston Airport System (HAS) handled 54.2 million passengers in the 12 months ending February 2018, down 0.3 percent from the 54.3 million handled during the same period in 2017.

The HAS includes George Bust Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport, and Ellington Airport. ​

International passenger volume totaled 11.1 million, down 3.8 percent from 11.5 million the previous year.

Domestic volume totaled 43.1 million, which was a slight increase from 42.8 million in February 2017.​

Summary Houston Airport Activity - Monthly 

The HAS handled 4.06 million passengers in February 2018, a 3.8 percent increase from the 3.9 million passengers handled the same month last year.

In February 2018, IAH earned an Achievement Award for the Southwest Region from the Federal Aviation Administration in operations safety and excellence.
