Bank of America movin’ on up

​AUSTIN – Bank of America Corp. plans to shift its downtown Austin home to Third + Shoal, the 29-story office tower under construction on Third St.

The bank plans to move the majority of their local corporate operations from 515 Congress Ave. by early 2019, leaving behind about 28,000 sf.

The bank’s Merrill Lynch division will also be moving into Third + Shoal, leaving a 23,000-sf space at 111 Congress Ave.

In total, Bank of America will be leasing about 53,000 sf in the new office.

That includes three floors at the top of the tower, directly under the 29th floor penthouse.
