​​​​​​MORRIS COUNTY – A unit of Amarillo-based Smith Ranches has purchased the 11,800-acre Broseco Ranch.

​The 50-year-old ranch near Mount Pleasant has three lakes, two 10,000-sf barns, and seven houses, the largest of which​ is a 6,600-sf lodge. It includes a 3,200-acre wildlife habitat along the Sulphur River. 

Founded by the Brown family of Maryland, the ranch takes its name from the Brown Security Co. 

Icon Global Group has been marketing the property since last year. The ranch was listed for over $34 million.
