Austin’s museum 14-acre Laguna Gloria underway

​​​​​AUSTIN – The Contemporary Austin​‘s first phase of the master plan for its 14-acre Laguna Gloria site at 3809 W 35th St. is underway.

The initial stage of a multi-year project, Phase One will create a new experience for visitors including an arrival garden, visitor pavilion, cafe and retail store.

The art museum is engaged in a partnership with the City of Austin Neighborhood Partnering Program to create sidewalks and improve parking along W 35th St, according to a press release in February 2018.

The project is expected to be complete by spring 2019.​​
