PLANO – Legacy Central—the $300 million reboot of Texas Instruments old Plano campus—is breaking new ground with apartment construction.

Developer Trammell Crow Residential has started work on the first rental units in the 84-acre mixed-use project at US Hwy. 75 and Legacy Dr.

The five-story, urban style apartment village will include 385 units.

Plano officials okayed zoning for almost 700 apartments, retail space and a hotel in the project on the west side of US 75.
