GREATER HOUSTON – Toys ‘R’ Us Inc. has officially announced its plans to liquidate inventory in all 735 of its U.S. stores.
The company has 18 stores in greater Houston with a combined 673,226 sf.
The company's U.S. stores are expected to close over the next 60 days from March 15, 2018.
A variety of factors have contributed to the decision to close all U.S. Toys ‘R’ Us stores—including a large amount of debt—but what sealed the deal was the retailer's poor holiday sales.
