ABOR: Austin-area housing market still on the rise

​​AUSTIN – Austin-area home sales and prices continue to climb.

The Austin Board of Realtors released February 2018 statistics for single-family homes in the Austin area.

Key takeaways:

• Home sales increased 5.7 percent to 1,955 sales across the metro.
• The median price for single-family homes increased 3.6 percent to $299,900.
• ​The average number of days homes spent on the market was 71 days, up from 65 days the previous February.​
