UHCL’s Pearland and Main campus expansions
HOUSTON, PEARLAND – The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) Pearland Campus will open its health sciences and classroom building less than a year from 2018.
The $24.6 million building will add classrooms, labs, simulated hospital rooms, and a nurses’ and pharmacy station, and will open for classes in spring 2019.
UHCL’s main campus will add a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) building, and a recreation and wellness center.
The $65.7 million STEM building will house physical applied sciences and engineering programs, and will offer research labs, offices, classrooms, and an astronomy observation deck.
The $38.2 million recreation and wellness center will have two full-size basketball courts, other fitness areas, three teaching labs, food service, and study spaces.
Both buildings will be completed in July 2018 and open for the 2018-19 school year.
