SABIC grows with 210 Houston jobs

​​HOUSTON – Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) will bring 210 jobs to Houston in 2018.

The company is relocating 140 jobs from a SABIC facility that’s closing in North Carolina; the remaining 70 positions will be created in Houston.

To accommodate for the growth, SABIC recently moved into an additional 65,000 sf on the eighth, ninth, and 13th floors at 2500 CityWest.

Building permits list the cost of buildout at $5.5 million.

SABIC is also investing roughly $2.3 million in modernizing the sixth floor, which SABIC has occupied since it moved in.

The renovations should wrap up in summer 2018.
